Briggette Berumen
Briggette is described as a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated nursing student who goes above and beyond to ensure her patients feel safe, understood, and respected. During clinicals at Methodist Dallas, she notably supported a Spanish-speaking patient post-orthopedic surgery by communicating in the patient’s native language, building trust, and easing her recovery experience. Her cultural competence, empathetic care, and commitment to patient advocacy stood out to both her patient and her clinical preceptor.
Throughout her clinical rotation, including the NICU and labor and delivery, Briggette consistently demonstrates critical thinking, strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and teamwork. She is recognized as a leader among her peers, often mentoring, encouraging, and assisting classmates at any hour. Briggette actively supports those around her and helps others recognize their own potential, always embodying the core values of nursing: empathy, communication, compassion, and advocacy.
