My mother is a kidney dialysis patient in this department. We got to know Amal, who looks after her. She is truly a 'beacon of hope' (Amal means hope in Arabic) to anyone accompanying a patient.

From day one, nurse Amal explained everything regarding the sessions, from the start of the dialysis to the side effects that might occur, with total clarity and patience. She answered all our questions before we even had to ask them, which eased our anxiety and our fear of the unknown that we did not understand.

What distinguishes Amal is her human side. Despite the pressure of work, the smile never leaves her face while dealing with patients. Every time she connects the dialysis machine, my mother tells her positive words like, "May every needle prick or pain be recorded as a good deed in your scale of rewards." My mother always says, "I look at your smiling face, Amal, and it brings a smile to my face."

Nurse Amal combined high professional skills with a compassionate heart. To us, she is not just a nurse doing her job; she is a sister to our family who planted reassurance in our hearts and relieved my mother's illness through her care.

Thank you, Aml Khaled, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
