My daughter, who is 8, ended up in the Emergency Room at Angel Medical Center with stomach pain. Her condition required her to have an unpleasant experience. After the procedure, Connie came into the room with my daughter and sat down and explained everything to her and involved her in her care. She even shared a funny story with my daughter and associated it to my daughter's diagnosis. By the time my daughter had to have another procedure thirty minutes later, Connie had been so nice and talkative to her that she had no problem whatsoever with the procedure.

When we left the hospital that night, my daughter asked me if Connie could be her aunt because she had made her feel so much better and didn't hurt her. That is all my daughter talks about when her stomach starts hurting. She even had to write Miss. Connie a letter the next week.

I would really like to let her know that she made a very horrible night for my 8 year old a little bit better. She took the time to get on her level and describe to her what they were doing so that she understood. If everyone was that nice and compassionate the healthcare world would be much better!
