From the patient: "I was a patient at Charleston Area Medical Center in the Medical ICU. I felt so alone and scared. Stacy put me at ease and made me feel loved. She brought me a bouquet of flowers to brighten my day. Stacy is an awesome person to be recognized and I would like to submit her name for the DAISY award. Hospitals need more nurses like her. She touched my heart during my stay".

From the Nurse Manager: "Stacy is a very compassionate nurse. She treats her patients with the utmost respect. She goes above and beyond what is required of her. The other day she brought flowers for her patient to cheer her up. She never brags about what she does. The only way I found out about the flowers was when I inquired of the patient 'who brought the flowers?' She replied: 'Stacy brought the flowers'. Stacy uses critical thinking skills to ensure her patients are receiving the best care. She appropriately questions incorrect orders and requests new orders when needed. Stacy is an outstanding RN who is under-recognized as she works night shift. Not a lot of people get to witness her acts of kindness".
