I took my daughter to MacNeal Hospital on Wednesday and she was admitted. In the process of going from the ER to the 4th floor, she left her favorite teddy bear behind. When I realized the next day, I told her nurse, Janice. She started calling the security department right away. She made a few calls and told me not to worry, that she will bring teddy back. She didn't find teddy, but came back with two kissing puppies that made my baby very happy. A few hours later, a gentleman from security showed up with a bigger teddy bear that brought a huge smile to my baby and tears to my eyes. I asked his name and said the security department pitched in. The surprise didn't end there...
On Friday, I received a call from security saying they found teddy nice and clean. Mr. Will Patton took his time to drop it at my house. I'm still talking about it and telling people the story of teddy bear. The first question I get is "What hospital is this?"
First I'd like to thank, her nurse, Janice, who started making calls, and then the Security Department who pitched in to buy another bear, and finally, Mr. Patton, who went out of his way to bring teddy home.
I got home and told my daughter to open the mail box because there was a surprise for her. She couldn't stop squeezing teddy and said "Teddy, you found me! You came home all by yourself!" Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job!
