I have been a patient at The Infusion Center for over 4 years. I have end stage IV breast cancer which has metastasized throughout my body. I am very fortunate to be treated at The Infusion Center. These nurses are special to me and contribute to my quality of life.
Jane is very special. About a year ago, my treatments were not going so well. We must have changed my chemo regimen more than six times. That is very unnerving and frightening. Jane, who would be my nurse at times, knew exactly how I was anticipating these changes. She calmly explained the exact possible side effect of every chemo treatment and reassured me that this journey would be a bumpy one, but will help me in the long run. Knowing my anxieties, her calmness and care meant the world to me. Even when she was not caring for me, she would always take the time to talk to me. When my dog passed away in July, she knew I was very, very upset about it and the sadness would have an affect on my treatment. Again, Jane came to the rescue and she always makes me feel better about myself. Her listening and advice to me will never be forgotten. She treats me like a member of her family.
Jane is one of the many reasons why I look forward to my "spa" days at the Infusion Center. How fortunate I am to know Jane and the other "angels" at the Kent Infusion Center.
