Nurse Julie is a very extraordinary nurse. She goes above and beyond the call of duty. She far exceeds her job description by going the extra mile of the way with not only the patient but the family as well. She explained every detail of what was about to take place and even went as far as to instruct us as to what to do after we got home for a more vibrant and healthier lifestyle. I think her dedication was the utmost as far as and even beyond what a nurse could do. She made sure my brother was well taken care of and assured the family if there was anything she could do, just ask. This was an asset to not only your hospital but also the patient. Because of Julie we are very happy with the care we received and would recommend St. Mary's to others.

My dad wanted me to write this up for him. He truly appreciated all of Julie's hard, thorough, and compassionate work with his wife. She went above and beyond and it wasn't a struggle for her- it came naturally. She is truly remarkable in her work and it gave me and all of our children comfort knowing she was being so well taken care of. Thank you, Julie, we all appreciate you!

My husband was in overnight with stroke symptoms. Julie was a great help explaining symptoms, vitals, discharge instructions and what to expect. Kudos!

The job of a health care professional is difficult and exhausting (to say the least), yet many people who do this often "thankless" job do so with little or no complaint. Often, patients and their families are quick to register complaints against staff, yet seldom acknowledge excellence. Julie has proven to be absolutely excellent both in her caretaking of my mother and in her leadership of her rotating team of assistants. It is more than professionalism that makes Julie stand out. It's her warm personality, genuine concern and helpful nature that makes her unique and worthy of mention. I am grateful to God that my mother is at St. Mary's and that this hospital has adopted a standard of excellence in its medical staff. I think everyone in the NICU Department does their job with professionalism, but Julie is truly a blessing and my family and I would love to acknowledge her.

My mom recently had a stroke. My dad and I were with her every day of her stay at St. Mary's. My mom was fortunate enough to have Julie as her nurse. She was extremely kind, caring and took the time to listen to my mom as she struggled to talk. She gave hugs and definitely went the extra mile for my mom to keep her comfortable or just call her 'beautiful' and 'honey'. She needed these comfort words. Julie came in to visit my mom on her day off as she knew mom wouldn't be there on her next working day. She gave my mom a prayer shawl, which was so very thoughtful. My mom is a very religious woman and loved the comfort the shawl brought to her. I cannot say enough about Julie and she did so much more than what I have written. Julie definitely is an Extraordinary Nurse and I so appreciate everything she did for my mom. She really deserves the recognition. Thank you, Julie, for being you and using your God-given talents to the fullest!
