When W was moved to a new room he asked me to nominate Liz for the award when he saw it on TV. I was waiting for him to feel better so he could help, however with this last set back and the most recent days and activities I decided it was necessary for me to complete this nomination. When W returned to CICU from his recent stay in PCU Liz asked me how W was doing and about his spirits. I shared with her my notice of his discouragement and fear and the negative statement he made regarding his future. I left the room and later when I returned W and Liz were having a "heart to heart" talk. I don't know what was said, nor do I need to know, but after talking to this caring, loving and compassionate nurse I have seen a big improvement in him. W has the twinkle in his eyes and is talking about our future when he gets out. I wish I could nominate all of you. Your staff here at MCR is the best with your care, understanding and working so well together. Everyone talks, makes suggestions and works well as a team. We are so grateful and cannot use enough words to show you. God bless you all!
