My husband was admitted for surgery and was staying on 4North. After a day or two in the hospital we really felt like the surgery kept getting postponed. My husband was very upset and had some less than happy words for Megan, his Nurse. Rather than taking it personally, she made it her mission to get a doctor in to talk to us. Within 30 minutes a surgeon was in the room with us. She also had the nursing supervisor in to speak with us!
We made sure to tell Megan afterwards that we weren’t angry with her and we appreciated all her efforts to get a doctor in to speak with us about the delay.
For the remaining wait before surgery and a few days post, Megan was an amazing source of comfort and warmth. She is a true asset to the nursing team at Kaiser. A real gem!
