Hong Nguyen provides excellent, compassionate, conscientious patient care. Hong comes to work with a positive attitude every day. She treats each one of her patients with the utmost respect, and often makes a strong connection with them and their family members. She is a strong clinical nurse as well, providing a safe environment for her patients. She communicates well with all disciplines and is a great advocate for her patients. To her patients, these acts often go unnoticed as Hong is not one to ruffle feathers; rather she works with the different care providers in a very collegial fashion to get the best outcome for her patients. Hong sees the good in people, and even with the more difficult patients, works hard for positive outcomes. As a coworker, Hong is a great resource. She is often precepting new nurses, which is a reflection of her expertise as well as her patience and her abilities as a teacher. Even when not precepting, Hong is a resource to other nurses on the floor. She recognizes when others are looking like they need help, and is quick to offer her assistance frequently.

Hong is a great team player in that sense, as well as being that person you always can count on to be there 100% while on the job. Hong has worked with some very difficult and challenging situations since she has been a nurse, and continues to show her strengths, improving over time. She obviously loves what she does as it shows in her care. If I or a loved one had to be hospitalized, Hong is the kind of nurse I would want at the bedside. She is truly one of a kind.
