Almira always shows all of these things in providing care to our patients and co-workers. She helps whoever is in need, with a smile, never complains and willing to do what she can to satisfy the patients. If someone is complaining, she always says something positive to her co-workers. If staff is wrong, she holds them accountable and explains to them. She always tries to do what's best for her patients and staff. Everything seems to come so natural to her. She never panics, she shows high integrity whenever a patient comes to the units, she is the first one to greet them and get everything the patient needs right then. She is supportive of me by pushing me in my career, always teaching, listening to my needs, and lets me know what is best for me. She listens to patients’ needs. Almira is very speical to me. I definitely look up to her and I want to portray what she shows to everyone as a nurse. She is definitely a role model!! She deserves the DAISY Award because she is a woman of many roles, and does them all well.
