Kara Ellis joined The DAISY Foundation in 2016 and serves as the Regional Program Director for our South Central Region. Kara works with hospitals and schools of nursing in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona by providing information, resources, and support to those that are interested in learning more about DAISY or to those that are already DAISY partners organizations.
Previously Kara was a Regional Program Coordinator and Manager at The DAISY Foundation. She brings a wealth of experience to her director role. She is a resource to those interested in learning more about our mission and program offerings. She provides guidance, support and best practice ideas to existing DAISY organizations, helping them ensure their program is high quality and meeting their goals.
Kara has over 14 years of experience in customer service and has a passion for helping others.
Kara graduated from Oklahoma State University and lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, Derek, and her dogs, Jasper and Frankie. She enjoys traveling, cooking, running, and spending time with family and friends.
