The DAISY Award emphasizes the professionalism of the Registered Nurse. It reinforces the autonomy of nursing practice and how powerful each nurse’s action is on people’s lives. It is a reminder to me of why I'm here. When I hear the nomination stories, it makes me so proud and really connects me back to the staff.
