But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is now law. Galatians 5:22-23.
A hospital stay is usually a stressful time. There are many unknowns: surgery, medical terms, IVs, medications, side effects, pain, etc. During this time, you greatly appreciate faithful nurses and staff.
We were blessed to have Tori as one of Dad's nurses four different nights. She exemplifies the fruits of the spirit. Tori calmed fears and reassured dad that she was there to help. She went above and beyond. She even took time to check in with dad before she left each shift. I cannot tell you how that simple act of kindness impacted our time at St. Luke's. I could write pages about all the gentle ways Tori cares for her patients. She does her job with joy and love. We knew when Tori was on duty, we could leave the hospital with peace knowing Dad was being cared for by a faithful, patient nurse.
