Vernette is compassionate and empathetic towards others, and she is an excellent communicator.
I had foot surgery back in June and Vernette met me at the nurses' station and took me to my room. I was unable to have any family members with me because of COVID-19 restrictions. Vernette made me feel comfortable right from the beginning until I left for my surgery.
Vernette made sure to come to check on me periodically and we had lots of meaningful conversations. She asked me what subjects I was studying in school and truly cared and listened to what I was saying. As anyone would be, I was nervous about my surgery, especially being on my own, but Vernette made me feel comfortable and she eased my nervousness.
I had full trust in Vernette as my caregiver. She ensured me she would be waiting for me and ready to care for me when I returned to my room after my surgery.
Vernette is compassionate and empathetic towards others, and she is an excellent communicator.
Vernette talked about her career and how she got to where she is today. She told me about her family, and how much she loved her nursing career, she was very personable while caring for me.
Selflessness! Vernette checked on me frequently, even though she was extremely busy at the time. I appreciated her, and her ability to comfort me in this stressful and isolated situation while providing incredible care for me and her other patients.
