Tiffany Walsh – Resource Staffing

Tiffany consistently displays compassion with each and every patient and family member she encounters. Tiffany receives numerous compliments from her coworkers, student nurses and visitors. Recently on two different occasions, Tiffany has shown how she really cares about her patients. Back on Christmas Day, Tiffany had a patient who had been in the hospital for several weeks due to injuries from a trauma. She knew her patient would not be leaving out of critical care nor going home anytime soon. So Christmas Day was here, and her family members were coming in to visit. Her patient was not very cheerful even though it was Christmas and she had her loved ones present at her bedside. So later that morning, Tiffany had a conversation with her patient to ask what was wrong, and her patient simply stated that she just wanted to look outside . So Tiffany listening to her patient, went and got permission to at least get the up patient up out of bed and take her to the third floor and look out the big windows in the waiting room and she could see the outside and the decorated Christmas tree. Tiffany hooked her patient up to the portable monitors put her in the wheelchair and off they went. They stayed for a short visit as her patient looked outside and smiled and Thanked Tiffany for making her Christmas Day complete. On a separate occasion, Tiffany had a patient who had been with us for a while and it was Valentine’s Day. On this particular day her patient knew his wife would be here later in the afternoon as she always does. He really never asked but Tiffany went to the Gift Shop and got a Valentine’s Day card for him to sign and give to his wife. The patient was so very excited that he could hand this card to his wife when she arrived. A week later this patient passed away. These are just a few examples of compassion that is displayed by Tiffany on a daily basis.
