Tiffany was one of the first nurses that I encountered at Children's during my relapse chemo. I remembered before I had her, that one of my previous nurses told me to ask her what she had for lunch the next day. I asked her, and soon after that she became one of my favorite nurses. Tiffany is also one of the two nurses who have paved my path for the future and made me realize that I want to go into nursing. She was always very helpful and caring, and always checking up on me to make sure I was okay, and that I felt good.

Tiffany made a special connection with my family and me the day that we met her. We first started talking about restaurants, and good places that I could make my parents pick up food for me around the hospital in Liberty. We would also always talk about how our weeks have been, what I missed at the hospital while I was gone, and what to expect for my stay for that time. She was always very personable with us, and made our hospital stays worthwhile.

Tiffany told me many things about nursing that I didn't know. She educated me on the oncology perspective of things by showing me some of the things I was getting, like getting my port accessed, getting shots, urine samples, etc. She also has told me about her experience in nursing and nursing school, which is another reason she has pushed me towards a nursing path.

Tiffany always made sure that I was feeling okay and never nauseated with each chemo that I got. She would help me to the bathroom if I needed it, she would get Child Life in to talk to me, and helped me out during some of the tougher times of my stays. She worked to make my experience at children's feel a little more like home each time.
