She made him feel heard and valued his input on his care. Tee was kind, and patient, and communicated every step of his care to him, which helped him manage his anxiety.
My son was three weeks into his first semester of law school in Indianapolis, Indiana, when he was taken to the emergency room at Community East Hospital. It was there that he was diagnosed with necrotizing fascitis. Since that day, he has had two surgeries, wound dressings, antibiotics, pain medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and drain care. We have seen multiple surgeons, hospital doctors, infectious disease doctors, therapists, techs, and nurses. There were and are many wonderful people at Community East. Most of them, in time, I will forget their names. However, there is one that I, my family, and most importantly my son will never forget. Her style of care and comfort was amazing. I struggle to find the words to describe what this individual means to us.

Tiesha Piper-Graham better known as Tee is a rock star. Tee was able to calm my son. She made him feel heard and valued his input on his care. Tee was kind, and patient, and communicated every step of his care to him, which helped him manage his anxiety. She anticipated his every need and appeared to be one step ahead the entire time. Tee was able to make me feel like my son was her only patient. His needs were her priority. Tee not only addressed his medical care, but she also provided exceptional care to him as a whole person.

L spent his 23rd birthday in the hospital in extreme pain. I was struggling to hold myself together seeing my child crying in pain as his dressings were changed. She was there through his wound dressing changes. Tee helped him through the pain. Tee helped show me what to do and say to help L. She held his hand and encouraged him to breathe through it. Tee showed empathy, and intelligence, and had a smile every time she walked into his room. Tee represents everything it takes to be an excellent nurse. She was kind, gentle, but helped him through what had to be done. Our family will forever be grateful for Tee. She is truly a special person and a good human being
