My oldest child, M, is a patient here, and is being treated for a Crohn's flare up. Thaly was their nurse for several days. While all of the nurses here are fantastic, Thaly stands out to us for going above and beyond her duties and for the kindness and empathy she exudes while caring for our loved one. Examples of her kindness are how she stayed well beyond her shift to comfort M during an invasive procedure, and how she came to check in on M on a day she was not assigned to them. We live about 30 miles from Baltimore. It's emotionally painful when we leave M for the night, knowing that it will take some time for us to get back here should something bad happen. Those fears were put aside on nights when Thaly worked. On the way home, my wife and I were talking about how we hate to leave them here alone. Then, almost in unison, we said, "I'm happy they have Thaly tonight. We know she'll check in on them." We are thankful for Nurse Thaly.
