These two nurses are front-line heroes in the fight against the COVID-19 virus. They not only were working in the hospital taking care of patients, but they produced a very creative and inspirational way to showcase the patients who were treated for COVID, got better, and were discharged. They designed the COVID-19 Discharge Board. This Board commemorates each patient who was treated and discharged with COVID-19 by a large, colorful heart. The patient hearts are all different colors, the hearts don't have any names on them, just a large colorful heart. The COVID-19 discharge board serves as a vivid, symbolic reminder of the victories we, as a hospital, have achieved in the face of increased adversity in the setting of this global pandemic. This bright, simple design is the perfect reminder that nurses have solutions to help solve even the darkest problems and brighten patients' lives.
We have received feedback from many of the staff at Phoenixville Hospital that seeing the COVID-19 Discharge Board upon coming into work or leaving work, makes staff happy and proud to be a part of the solution of fighting this pandemic. It encourages staff to continue to give their best to their jobs.
