We came here very scared and not sure what was going to happen. Stacy explained every kind of medication and what they were needed for; she even explained what was happening every time she came in. That poor gal came in what felt like 7-8 times an hour, never looked angry or just too busy to care. The first night was rough on all of us in the room, and Stacy stayed so calm.
On our second night here, Stacy and another nurse with her that was learning the ropes here in the ICU, she was a very quiet gal, but she seemed to be listening to everything Stacy was telling her. If you have ever had to train someone, you know even if they are paying attention, it is still more work, and Stacy didn't let it phase her. She showed great calmness and was intentional about what they did in the room and the way she explained things to both of us.
When Stacy came in the next evening, she immediately said she was told the day was a little hard and asked if we had any questions. Of course, we did. She answered them all, which helped with most of the day's issues. She just went through and explained why the different things happened and how the day nurse handled them was the best way, so that put him at ease. We just want to make sure you know you have a great nurse working here. She has blessed our family and made the stay so much better.
