Although Mom was only on the floor for four days, this nurse was there for 2 of those days. Both days, Mom had an issue right at 7 PM. Both nights, this nurse stayed without hesitation to ensure Mom was again settled and comfortable. She coached Mom and encouraged her every time she came into the room. She paid close attention to the PT person and asked Mom about her pain before the PT session so that she could be successful during PT. She preemptively covered likely places for pressure sores since Mom is 85 years old and tiny. The compassion in her voice is so soothing for both Mom and us. Thank you for this opportunity to recognize her.
