Not only good, better, best, Ruza Pavic was in the ER when I arrived and she went above and beyond all that. She provided me with her nursing excellence, professionalism, compassion and above all, Ruza goes the extra mile to save lives, notably mine in the ER as I lay hemorrhaging profusely and fading out. I had a laparoscopic right hemicolectomy performed and I was discharged two days later. That evening I had to return to UNC REX ER. My blood pressure was dropping rapidly. Nurse Ruza, my "angel" kept telling me not to worry, everything was going to be alright and gave me hope and calmed me down. I felt her arms wrap around me and she brought me back from a very bad place. I had to be administered two blood transfusions. No one was luckier than me to have Ruza be there for me. She worked quickly without hesitation to do what was necessary to keep me alive. How she managed to get everything cleaned up, including me, a room, and bed again to recuperate is amazing. She gives it her all no matter how late in the evening into the morning. Thank you, Ruza and UNC REX Healthcare for excellence in doctors, hospital, nurses. Ruza is the best nurse on the planet. She stole my heart.
