Rosie stayed at my side all the way through it. Explained everything to me and held on to me because I was shaking so badly.
I showed up to L&D Tuesday night for bleeding from having complete Previa. Rosie was the nurse who took care of me. The bleeding slowed down but I still got admitted. Rosie got me in my room and started doing everything else that need to be done. Everything she did she spoke to me about it and made me feel very comfortable and more at ease. She also would just have simple conversations with me, which really helped because it took my mind off of all that was going on with me. It was around 230am I believe and my bleeding from the Previa started picking up a bit. She cleaned me up once again, had a simple convo with me, put me back at ease, and said ok get you some rest and if you need anything just hit the nurse button... As soon as she walked out of my room I started bleeding really bad again, I hit that button and a second later she was back in my room. This went on 5 times, maybe more.. at this time with all the blood loss, I started feeling really sick and just plain miserable and she started to comfort me and calm me down.

Eventually, the call was made for an emergency C-section. Rosie stayed at my side all the way through it. Explained everything to me and held on to me because I was shaking so badly and coached me through a lot of things like the spinal tap. She was there and really cared, went beyond just being a nurse to really help me out.

She made this crazy unbearable experience turn into something that was a bit more bearable. Rosie is the true definition of a nurse. She was meant to have this career. I have talked to a few others about this and how I felt about her helping me through it and I feel in my heart that if it was another nurse, I wouldn't have made it through. Rosie truly kept me calm and strong to make it through such a crazy situation. When I found out about The DAISY Award I knew in my heart I had to nominate her for it. She is exceptional at what she does. There just aren't any words to really explain how much she has done to help me thru it. Rosie definitely is a DAISY Nurse.
