Robin was nominated by a patient's family member who said:

...My mother was taken to ER with extreme chest pains. A few weeks before this, my mother had 3 stents put in and she felt much better. I met my mother at the ER, and after a few tests- Robin (and I'm sure there were others present helping her) came to take mom to the operating room. Robin invited me to travel with them to the 2nd floor operating room. She explained what was going to happen and I felt that Robin cared very much.

My mother's heart was not going to make it. Robin came several times to explain to my brother and me mom's failing condition. Robin was in a very loving way preparing us for what was coming. I was not prepared for mom passing away that morning- even though our strong Christian faith looks forward to being with Jesus.

It seemed that Robin was sharing and feeling the pain with me and she did everything to explain what my mother was going thru. I asked Robin if she had time and was willing to talk with my sister (who lives in Virginia and is a nurse). Of course Robin said yes, took my phone and explained to my sister what was going on with mom's heart and mom's situation.

Robin asked if we would like to see mom in the operating room. Robin took us back and though mom was in a dire state the feeling in the room was: we care and are giving your mom the best we can. Robin took us back to the waiting room and explained what was happening and was our responses/options were.

In the toughest of life's situation, Robin gave me all the medical information I needed, held my hand and supported me, and hugged me like a nurse who cared.
