Dr. Oldham is an excellent example for her students. She mentors her students in a Christ-like manner supporting them with prayer and the provision of scripture. I can't believe how much knowledge she has on the subjects she teaches in the DNP program. I became better acquainted with Dr. Oldham on a global trip to Belize. I saw her hardworking ethic as she taught an online class and also served on the global trip at the same time. She was busy every moment of the day until her head crashed upon her computer at the end of the day. Dr. Oldham is approachable, caring, and encouraging. As I worked on my DNP project, Dr. Oldham encouraged me to let go and let God lead. As I worked through the project, I also revived my faith and learned to cast all my cares on the Lord and worry less with her guidance. She gave me words of encouragement through the times when I wanted to give up. I learned to take one step at a time. Dr. Oldham is a role model. She is conducting her own research and asked the students in my class for their input as part of her data collection. I highly recommend Dr. Rhonda Oldham for this award because of the large impact she made on me as her student. She is a true inspiration to others.

Dr. Oldham was my professor during a very challenging time in my life personally. When I was no longer in her class, she would continue to send me emails checking in, encouraging me, and praying for me. She is the best! Her interactions are genuine and Christ-like. I have so much respect and admiration for her.

Dr. Oldham is extraordinary in many ways! She always has a smile and words of encouragement. She supports us with scripture and meaningful devotions. She has a way of making you feel rejuvenated even on the third long day of residency. Dr. Oldham leads by example and has been a great mentor and role model. I strive to be like her once I am complete with my program. I feel comfortable asking her questions and appreciate her answers that are not cookie-cutter answers for everyone. She takes the time to really understand and mold the answers specifically for the individual asking. Dr. Oldham has also taken the time to get to know us and ask about our families and work background. This action attests to her enthusiasm, integrity, interest, and respect for her learners. Dr. Oldham has gone out of her way to help me in times of need. She came to our hotel during our first residency to help a few of us establish our PowerPoints and project presentations more. I believe this act of kindness helped set the stage for the remaining portion of my education at IWU. I instantly felt more at ease and confident in myself. This was especially significant at a time that I was very unsure what I had gotten myself into. I believe that Dr. Oldham is a well-deserved faculty member for The DAISY Award.
