Becca worked one on one with my father who was admitted to the hospital with excruciating pain due to a chemo treatment that he had a severe reaction to. We were frightened. My dad's pain had put him in a paralysis state. Each time he moved, his whole body would and does burn with nerve pain and muscle spasms. My dad is fighting stage 4 lung and bone cancer with it in his bloodstream and a tumor on his heart. His entire spine, shoulders, and back are covered in tumors. Becca was very calm, compassionate, knowledgeable and truly loving to my father. He sensed her empathy even though he was in extreme pain. Part of him was able to relax because he knew he was in good hands. She gained his trust and kept it. She was impeccable at giving his pain medicine on time; constantly checking on him and made him feel very important. She acted as if he was the only patient on the floor. Through his pain, he asked that we "his family" do something for her. She put fresh sheets on his bed. She had to give him several enemas and suppositories and pick up after him. She did this as if it didn't bother her at all. Becca is an excellent nurse. Not only is she knowledgeable and proficient at her job, but she was also relentless in making sure my father's 7-day stay was as pleasant as it could be. We are thankful that God chose her to be my dad's nurse. And, to quote my dad, "God put her in my life during the worst time I have ever had, I really believe that Becca is an angel."
