Olivia was like a momma, and I felt safe as she made adjustments to medications and in non-medication forms.
I am a nurse, in fact, I used to work on 10 Tower. This stay was my first time having a major surgery. Nights on a hospital floor as a patient are the most uncomfortable. No sleep, feelings of being scared and unsure on my second day and that night I let my pain get out of control. By Wednesday at 0300 my pain was 8-9 and I had a panic attack. Olivia was an amazing RN. She recognized my pain and emotional stress. Olivia was like a momma, and I felt safe as she made adjustments to medications and in non-medication forms. As an RN we always joke about being "the worse patients". Olivia treated me with respect and cared for me in ways I didn’t expect. While I don’t want to have a surgical experience again, if I had to, I would ask for Olivia. What an amazing RN and human being.
