Having an arsenal of 30 years of experience, Nancy noticed that the patient was short of breath and having difficulty speaking.
Nancy received a call from a patient who requested a same day appointment. Having an arsenal of 30 years of experience, she noticed that the patient was short of breath and having difficulty speaking. She instructed the patient to hang up immediately and dial 911 and get to the nearest emergency room. The patient did as she asked and called her back later to thank her. He said that one of his lungs had collapsed after being bitten by an insect that caused severe fluid retention and swelling throughout his entire body. He said that the ER physician told him, if he had waited another 4 hours, he would have likely passed away. The patient was extremely grateful for Nancy's persistence and expertise.
