Morgan's warm and cheerful personality coupled with her ability to communicate with me and my family members as well during visiting hours, made us all feel more relaxed during this anxious period.
Morgan was my nurse for 2 days. She was thorough in explaining to me the need for the various tests, the IV drips, and the blood draws administered to me during this time. I am big on asking questions, especially when it impacts me and she was informative and reassuring in her responses. When some of my questions went beyond her knowledge base, she was honest about what she knew and would tell me so, and suggested I ask the doctors. Her warm and cheerful personality coupled with her ability to communicate with me and my family members as well during visiting hours, made us all feel more relaxed during this anxious period. As a retiree, my volunteer work as an ESL (English Second Language) teacher to new adult immigrants is extremely important to me. I shared with Morgan that I was having my initial Summer ESL class on Tuesday evening from 7 pm until 8:30 pm and I very much wanted to be able to lead my class and not cancel and disappoint my students. She thought ahead and timed my various virtual readings and changing of the IV bags so that I would have 90 minutes of uninterrupted time with my students; she even communicated my request to the night shift nurse prior to leaving. (I teach via a virtual Zoom call as such group programs are still operating under COVID safety guidelines, and in planning ahead, I had brought my laptop with me in the event I needed to teach from my hospital room. Morgan went above and beyond what was expected of a nurse's professional care in her compassion to facilitate my volunteer work. It was much appreciated and definitely helped in my recuperation.
