After working 2 of 3 nights in a row, Morgan took care of a patient who was an over the road truck driver and became in need of our services here at NKCH. Due to the nature and length of his admission, he was going to lose his job. To add insult to punishment, his personal belongings were taken with his truck and the clothes he came in wearing were emergently removed, so he didn't have anything to wear on his departure.
After learning of this, Morgan took it upon herself to ensure he had clothes to leave in. So in between shifts, she went and bought clothes and then returned to give them to him because he was to transfer out of the unit.
The compassion that Morgan has shown to bring dignity back to a less fortunate individual is truly amazing. Morgan stands out among the excellent staff in CVICU.
