Monica is a very special nurse and a wonderful human being. When I was admitted the hospital, Monica was aware that I have a husband and 12-year-old son at home. She realized how sad it made me to be away from them. Her compassion was exceptional. She validated my feelings and showed interest in my husband and son. Monica was always empathetic. My feelings were validated, and I never felt my needs or issues were unimportant. She always made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. When I had visitors, she gave us privacy without forgetting about me. There were times I needed extra time to talk with Monica and she always gave me her time and made me feel better. Monica was also selfless. I was looking for her to ask a question (which was not important) and she came out of the lunch room to answer my question.
Monica made my hospital stay a positive one. I feel lucky to have had her as my nurse while I am here. I could write pages about how special Monica is. Thank you, Monica, for being wonderful.
