Michelle is a Nurse Leader who extends beyond what most of us would consider the "Scope of our Position." As an Administrator, Chelle does an outstanding job of managing and attending meetings while also dealing with all aspects of the nine different departments within Surgical Services. The quality she exhibits the most, though, is her care and compassion for patients and staff members alike. We have watched her multiple times stop in mid-sentence and step over to guide a lost family member, send someone in the right direction, or just literally take them where they need to be. She steps in where needed, whether it's to change beds, volunteer at events, or simply stop what she's doing to teach one of us or to find an answer to a dilemma. She places people before herself. She's one of the rare Nurses who cares for people with her whole self.
