Matthew Reynolds was in the inaugural clinical group for the "Healthy Heros" Wellness Program created to meet the needs of children in Columbus, Ohio elementary schools.  Healthy Heros is a curriculum developed by the students together as a group in their pediatric rotation.  The students teach young children about how to keep their bodies safe and healthy as they grow.  Each week, Matt went above and beyond to create an environment of inclusion, compassion, and fun.  He served as a leader to his peers, always willing to give them a reassuring smile, confident answer, or step in to support them.  His attitude was exemplary and his maturity outstanding.  He opened the world of male nursing up to young male students in the district and served as an outstanding role model.  At the end of his program, he went above and beyond to reward the children for their participation and contacted the YMCA of Central Ohio.  Together he worked with the director to get free passes for the children involved in the program allowing 500 children and their families to have a free week long pass at the YMCA.  He embodies the DAISY mentality in all his actions.
