Maryrose works in our Medical Surgical Unit and has been highly nominated for the DAISY Award due to her dedication to providing polite and friendly quality care and service to her patients. Her patient stated, “The performance of Nurse Maryrose was truly outstanding. Although Maryrose's behavior at the time of my stay may not have featured one spectacular, remarkable, or news-worthy event, she constantly showed herself most able to make it clear that her patient should never hesitate to request her aid, even though it might obligate her to provide service above and beyond the call of duty. The fact that Maryrose, at all times, seems most able to make that very same point clear without verbalizing it is a very unique and hard-to-find quality. It not only makes Maryrose’s memory special to me, but it also makes her most deserving of commendation.”
