Liz goes above and beyond every day for her patients. On this day, she was the triage nurse and noticed an elderly man had been discharged after a six-hour stay and could not get a ride home. The patient’s family member had fallen asleep and the patient didn’t have money for a cab. He had planned on sleeping in a chair in triage when Liz decided to help. She asked the patient’s address and ordered him an Uber. Although I don’t think the gentleman had realized that she had paid out of her own pocket for him to get home, the rest of us recognized how kind and thought that was.
