My daughter and I are submitting this nomination. Lindsay was the absolute best nurse we have encountered to date. Because of my daughter's illness, she has been in 5 different hospitals within 4 different health networks and 6 hospitals and ER departments. Lindsay was not only highly professional, but she was also efficient, personable, and went above and beyond to ensure my daughter received the absolute best care. When the medical staff at another ED were not able to give my daughter the medicines she normally receives due to an abnormal heart rhythm, once she arrived at Kettering Health Miamisburg, Lindsay took the time to brainstorm possible solutions. She kept working at it until she figured out how to get it done. My daughter was so grateful because she had been miserable after throwing up for hours. Lindsay was also kind and accommodating to us as her parents. Even after my daughter left the ICU, Lindsay stopped by to see her and tell her goodbye. She did not have to go the extra mile or two but she did. She was also willing to do some research to better understand my daughter's rare condition. She was so encouraging and uplifting to my daughter that when I asked my daughter what she wanted me to write about Lindsay, she simply said these three words..."I love her." Thank you Lindsay for making our ICU stay an absolutely memorable one.
