Today, my son had his port removed following 10 intense months since being dx with cancer. This nurse made the recovery from surgery painless, and she connected with my son very well. He is a quiet patient, and today was no different. She went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and proud of himself for all he's endured. We only spent just over an hour with her, but when we left-she made sure to stay with my son until I was curbside. She also wished us well, sincerely and sweetly. My son's comfort and ease were obvious and so appreciated.
