Krystal stands out as an example of the kind of nurse that Queen's Medical Center is dedicated to hiring to provide care to patients. When I buzzed, she immediately responded and got to my room quickly. When I whined, groaned and moaned, she comforted me, talked to me, walked me through what was going on in my body. She was patient and attentive. Most of all, Krystal has a delightful manner. She is personable and full of genuine "aloha" - not only for me but for my husband, who sat with me even though he was feeling ill. I always felt like I was her priority and her only patient. She was working hard, but there were no words of complaint from her. Sometimes she had no nursing aide to assist and she had extra duties, but carried on with grace and smiles, never bad mouthing or complaining.
