Kristen is an excellent, knowledgeable nurse who has shown exceptional compassionate care to me over my five-day hospital stay. The first day she took care of me she made me feel like I mattered. She responded quickly and kindly to my entire request I had. When she returned the next day I burst into tears of thankfulness that she would take care of me again. That day was particularly hard on me as if I didn't have any information on when my procedure would happen. I was required to have my IV put back in. When it was time to go downstairs the transport team did not show up for over an hour or two. Kristen was willing to come in with the IV specialist and hold my hand and encouraged me vocally to be able to make it through with getting it in place. Kristen's shift ended while I was in surgery but she left an encouraging thoughtful card to welcome me back in my room. Both yesterday and today I have had many questions. She has been very patient in answering all of them. Kristen comforted me when I was alone and scared before surgery. Kristen advocated for me with many phone calls to transport, surgery, and scheduling. I am lucky to have her in my corner.
