I was giving report to Kevin (ICU charge nurse) and spoke with him about an ICU, indigent, patient who was in desperate need of size 11 shoes and boots. All the clothing the patient arrived in was moldy. One nursing supervisor had taken his clothing home and washed and dried it in her own machine, but there were no shoes or boots available in the hospital 'give away' closet. Kevin arrived the next day with a new wardrobe for this patient: new shoes, boots, underwear, shirts, jeans, and a bag to put the new belongings in.

Kevin Kelly deserves this DAISY Award for his kindness and generosity to the patient in need.
