So much guidance - so helpful, refreshing, and constructive.
We will be forever grateful to you for the therapy you provided in your Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Community Memorial Hospital. After a long delay due to COVID protocol, more than 6 months from his surgery he looked forward to getting into the rehab program and was so happy to learn he was scheduled to begin. You got him started on a new path to gain strength, stability, and wellness. He said from the beginning of the rehab that you were great - paying attention always. The guidance and monitoring gave him trust in your program and it proved to be the biggest boost he has had in his recovery. What a difference from beginning to end. He trusted you. You provided education in so many aspects of the experience of By-Pass surgery. From the physicality of exercise and building strength, nutrition with examples of delicious foods plated up to be beautiful and healthy. It is inspiring to be creative in meal planning again.
Addressing the depression that can be a very debilitating aspect of this profound surgery and recovery. So much guidance - so helpful, refreshing, and constructive. The speakers you had were great. The two Dietitians, the Diabetic Specialist, and the Pharmacist. So much information was given in a simple, easy to adapt way. Because of the information you helped us with we did start with a new Cardiologist and so far that has been positive. We reached out to the Diabetic Specialist for review and did make a change. A few medications have been changed and we will remain more proactive. We did not expect all the extra guidance and information you provided. All your positive encouragement kept him going even on days that he didn't have any get-up and go. Most often he did get himself to your program. We will miss you and hope to cross paths in the future in the best of ways.
Thank you Kelli, thank you soooo much. You are special and whoever the lucky person is who will take S's place, and the many others who follow are very lucky to have your Nursing guidance, caring, and interest. You provided so much more than the rehab room with the equipment and monitors. You made effort to give information for the patient to use in daily life. I could go on and on ..... S had a tough go of it after the surgery. It took him a long time to get to where he is now. He recently had the best day he has had in the past 2 years. Between 9 holes of golf, walking a majority of the holes, then Rehab with you, then errands, he ended up with almost 11,000 steps, almost 4 miles and he was so glad for that accomplishment. He was tired from it but learned that he could do it. We will both miss you and are glad for you being a part of this journey.
