My most caring moment was during my clinical rotation at Children's Hospital. My patient was a 3 year old with Sickle Cell and Pneumonia. Her mother was very upset and the little girl was scared but when I walked in the room, introduced myself and smiled, the little girl smiled and her mother slowly began to come around. Each time, the nurse and I went into the room, I explained what we were doing and let the little girl play with my stethoscope.  Even though she was in a lot of pain, she allowed me to do whatever needed to be done. When the nurse went out of the room, the mother said to me, "Thank you for actually taking the time out to explain everything that is going on and for simply being nice to my daughter and me."  I enjoyed the experience, as the little girl and I colored together and I helped her learn how to write her name. I will never forget the experience.
