My father was a patient in the MICU battling COVID-19 and, unfortunately, took a turn for the worse. During his stay and passing, we were unable to be there with him. Joe was amazing during this most difficult time. He went above and beyond for my father and also for me, making me find comfort in knowing he had Joe with him. Joe was patient and kind; he never made me feel rushed and answered all my questions with detailed explanations. When my father was placed on a ventilator, and we knew hope was slipping away, Joe became even more compassionate. Joe shared stories of his conversation with my father. I sent in a stuffed monkey to be with him since we could not, and Joe assured me every night the money was in the bed with my dad. He allowed me to speak to him on speaker and even read him the card from his grandchildren. Joe helped me remain strong during one of the hardest times of my life.
