First, I want to tell you that, I am a first-time mom. I want to say a special thank you to my nurse Jincy Sam, and tell my story of how I met her.
I was at the hospital for my antenatal visit, the day before my due date, without anything packed from home. I was told by the doctor that I will be admitted since my water was leaking. I called my husband to bring me my hospital bag from home.
I spent the night in the hospital and the next day my contractions started around 8:00 am. I was quickly transferred to the labour room, where I met my friendly and amazing nurse, Jincy. She politely introduced herself to me and explained a few pain relievers options available for my delivery. She gently answered all my questions, including the ones I asked over and over again.
Knowing that I was a first-time mom, Jincy was always telling me jokes to ease my tension and fear. When my contractions were slow and painful, she gave me a massage on my waist, which helped to relieve some of my pain. Jincy made sure I was comfortable, and she was my support system throughout the whole process.
Jincy has compassion, she was a good health advocate for me. I want to use this medium to say thank you Nurse Jincy for your helpfulness, your resourcefulness, dedication, and assertiveness during our conversations and my time with you.
I appreciate you a lot for being a nurse, friend, and sister.
