Jessica Sink, from the first time she introduced herself to me as my nurse, has made it a mission to show how much she cares and how she loves being a nurse.
My stay at Grandview started out very scary and lonely. I won’t go into detail on my condition, but I can say I was in a dark place and felt like I only had me. I know a nurse has a very stressful job and that they have many patients other than me. I also understand it can be very trying for them and sometimes it can get the better of them.

Jessica Sink, from the first time she introduced herself to me as my nurse, has made it a mission to show how much she cares and how she loves being a nurse. I had issues with not eating the first two days. She was in my room and ordered my food and made sure a menu was sent and gave me the number and explained it all. I had been asking if there was any denture cream available to us patients. I was having a hard time eating without my dentures. She said, “Give me a few minutes. I will check and get back to you.” So, I have to say that I never expected to get an answer from her. But to my surprise, not only did she go and check she checked into it, but she also came back with it in her hands and with a smile. She said, “Here you go!” I truly think Jessica deserves for someone to know just how far and beyond she goes to make a person feel cared about.

The few minutes that she thinks is nothing means everything to someone that is alone and scared. The constant smile and caring that she gives is a God-send. My stay has become more comfortable and it’s because of people like Jessica that give a shoulder and friendship to people in need. She is very professional in her work. She’s trustworthy, her patients get her best at all times, and she cares enough to be a friend when that’s what is needed. Thank you so much.
