Jessica incorporates St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center's Mission and Core Values by providing exceptional care, serving and advocating for all patients regardless of age or class, and helping to improve quality of life. Her standard of care is to treat every patient as if he or she were her father, mother, sister, brother, or any loved one without any hesitation. She leads by example and is the first nurse to wash all the blood out of a patient's hair, shave an older gentlemen, feed a disabled patient, or hold a dying patients hand. She will do everything she can to maintain a patient's dignity. She shows respect by providing every ounce of compassion she has, to each unique individual. Jessica is willing to pray with patients, cry with families, and laugh with coworkers. She models putting the patient first, and is the ultimate patient advocate. She is very well respected by her peers. Her nursing care is a true example of what kind of extraordinary person Jessica Gallardo is. Her coworkers are proud to follow in her footsteps and learn from her level of kindness. Jessica is always willing to volunteer, and is very involved in our Staff Satisfaction Committee. She helps to assist with the local community and various fundraising activities such as Adopt a Family for Christmas, Adopt a Family for back to school, and Easter Baskets for families less fortunate.

Jessica is truly deserving of the DAISY Award for being an extraordinary nurse and a phenomenal person. Tower 2 ICU is genuinely blessed to have Jessica as a part of their team.
