Honestly, words can't really express enough how Jennifer has cared for my son, as if he was her own. Although my son was unaware of his surroundings, Jennifer talked to him and cared for him and of course, you might be saying to yourself, 'that's the nurse's job' and in some cases that may be true but not in this one.
She is different with her care for patients. It's not just a job or about the money with her. She truly cares about the patients and their families.
I was difficult to deal with, I know that, but she was always nice no matter what. I can't say that about any other nurse.
She is a very special, heartwarming, and heartfelt nurse. JMH is lucky to have her and so are the patients and families.
My son is 25 years old and was at the wrong place, at the wrong time, but she didn't pass judgment. I will be forever grateful to her for the care of my son and the patience she has for the family. We couldn't have asked for a better nurse.

During a recent luncheon held in honor of the DAISY Nominees and Honoree, we were honored to have the family as well as the patient who submitted Jennifer's nomination in attendance. The father of the patient spoke, tearfully expressing his heartfelt "thank you" to Jennifer for her acts of compassion, understanding, and excellent care provision that were offered to his son during the patient's time in the ICU at JMH. The father went on to share that he had driven all night in order to be present at the luncheon and witness Jennifer receiving this honor. He went on to state that "although I do not have much, I wanted to give Jennifer a small token of my overwhelming appreciation for all she has done". At this point, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a handwritten note. He then shared that the note was for a free oil change the next time she needed one. The humility offered through this gesture left those in the room speechless.
