Jannette constantly went over and beyond her requirements. She is a joy to be around!

I was rounding on a LEP patient today and RN Jannette was this patient’s nurse. Despite the fact Jannette does not speak Spanish, she found a way not only to communicate with the patient, but also to build a rapport and relationship with him. Interpreters had been called, don’t get me wrong, but Jannette had made sure the patient was well taken care of, she has been able to assist him, and the patient has verbally expressed to me that Jannette has been the best nurse he ever had. Jannette has cared for this patient with empathy, patience, and especially with a care that is provided to loved ones. I wish Jannette could be reproduced 1,000 times. She is one of the best nurses I have come across. We need nurses with patience, especially when language is a barrier. The patient will be transferred out of her unit today, and I’m sure he will miss her!

I was very sore and maybe even feeling sorry for myself and Jannette would make me laugh every she came in the room. She was so easy to talk to, right down to when she took me out to the car and gave me a big hug!
