Hailey was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable about my daughter's condition, and met every need and provided thorough answers to every question asked.
We entered the unit following a stay in the ICU. We were completely devastated as my daughter, who had once been the epitome of health was now diagnosed with a chronic condition. Our time in the ICU was filled with worry and dread as we prayed my daughter would stabilize and not experience any complications the doctor communicated to us was a possibility.
We were relieved to enter the acute care floor; however we still had a lot of questions, concerns and fears. We were exhausted mentally, physically, and emotionally and in utter shock and disbelief we were in this situation. Hailey Patereau immediately greeted us with a warm smile and began to encourage us. She assured us that my daughter would be well taken care of, and although receiving this diagnosis was difficult, my daughter would be healthy and would go on to have a long rich life, despite her diagnosis.
Hailey was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable about my daughter's condition, and met every need and provided thorough answers to every question asked. She was clearly adept in her field and made it a point to check on my daughter as well as our family frequently. Hailey had the foresight to anticipate our needs and also provide answers and resources even before we knew what to ask.
Her calm, empathetic and kind nature allowed my daughter to relax and feel comfortable in an unfamiliar environment and difficult situation. My daughter had to endure tests and procedures that were painful, and Hailey was there to provide emotional support and exemplify extreme professionalism throughout which is a difficult feat.
Hailey was amazing in her ability to provide training and education regarding my daughter's health and diagnosis, and ensured we were comfortable and proficient before leaving the hospital.
Hailey is by far one of the most outstanding nurses I have ever met, and I have worked in the hospital and medical field for over 20 years.
Going to the hospital, receiving the diagnosis and watching my daughter suffer in extreme pain was absolutely awful. However, I am confident that Hailey single handedly made this situation one that we could handle. She encouraged us, and provided hope and peace during an otherwise traumatic and despairing situation. She is an answer to our prayers and an absolute angel. I don't know how I could ever thank or repay her for what she has done for my daughter, but I praise God for bringing her into our lives.
Hailey exemplifies what it means to be a phenomenal nurse, and I am eternally blessed to have met her.
